ACW: Two Brigades... almost

Only two stands to finish my first two brigades of ACW. I recieved Fire N Fury yesterday but alas have little interest in trying it. My objective these days is to keep the rule sets I use to a minimum:
  • Impetvs for Ancients/Dark Ages
  • Black Powder for ACW/Napoleonics
  • FoW for WWII

I don't really have the time or energy to try new rule sets (hence no Saga on the list- it looks like fun but I just don't like skirmish gaming), so with that in mind I'll probably just use Fire and Fury when we go up for Gettysburg and for when Rodger teaches us the rules.

So here are the two brigades. I added an independence Flag of Alabama to Law's Alabama Brigade to tell them a part from the rest of the troops, probably ahistorical but it is all about being able to easily identify troops on table as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, I think they are coming along quite nicely.

  1. They look great Craig. I'm tempted to have a stab at ACW myself at some point but probably in 10 or 15mm.
    Keep up the good work!

    1. Thanks Steve, they are getting there- once you get to a certain mass they tend to look good even if not that great close up.

    1. Cheers Christopher- 2 stands shy of half way, though for friendly games locally my aim is 12 battalions so nearly 2/3 to that milestone.

  6. Nice work Craig!

Maybe I should bump up the little ACW I have up to being next in the queue after the Auzzies... I need to get something done on them soon, Gettysburg is not that far away!
