One of the most popular units in the Ogre list for kings of War is the Siege Breakers. These guys have Big Shields so All attacks (Ranged and Melee) against the target unit's front facing treat its defence as 6+. This makes them pretty damn tough so I wanted to use figures which were suitably imposing on the tabletop and would be a nice centrepoint for the army.
I decided that minotaurs would fit the bill nicely. I picked up three from Trademe which were already made up and so didn't have shields and also bought a pack direct from GW which arrived yesterday and so I made them up and painted them last night. I think they will make a suitable focal point for the army.
The GW Bullor minotaurs are really nice, as is typical with GW. Great detail, they go together easily and come with enough options to create axe and shield or two haned weapon options but you can also make a muscian, standard bearer and leader so it is a very flexible set. There are plenty of spare weapons to enable me to do some conversions on the Mantic Ogres to make their warriors more varied as well.
