Games Room Update

The windows went in yesterday and so now the space is really starting to take shape. Still lots to do but it is now weather proof (and considering our rain in the past week, that's a good thing!)

A few before and after shots.

  1. Really coming together now. I like those big windows, all the natural light should avoid that "gaming headache" brought on by spending all day in a dingy hall!

  7. Can't wait too get the first game in Kent.

@Waitrog, I agree adding that much more "family" space shouldn't harm the value of the property any.

Now I feel it needs a pool table and a bar leaner or two to fill it out a bit and make it a proper mancave.

  8. Hello Craig,

I tried finding a contact email but couldn't stumble upon one. By way of introduction, I work for Boom Video, a social video ad platform and Australasia's first official YouTube network. We distribute video content for a wide range of brands and exclusively represent hundreds of Australian & Kiwi content creators. It would be great to have a chat with you about our new native video player product that we are offering to great Australasia-based bloggers and site owners. The simplest way of describing the unit is that it's a video & text player that's populated with relevant content and built specifically to fit in with the look & feel of your site. (You can check out an example at http://aussie-gamer.com) It's a simple set-and-forget upload of one short HTML tag which Boom would pay you a monthly lump sum to place on your site.

If this interests you please shoot me an email and I'll send you some more information about it all. Thanks!

  9. That just rocks. And what a view. I'd be distracted looking out the window all the time!

    1. That's the plan Monty- over time I'll get used to it but my opponents will be too busy checking out what's going on outside to concentrate.

  10. Absolutely stunning stuff, natural light in a man cave is a novelty, weather proof's plus.

  11. Nice and bright is a plus- had to make the most of the views but facing south down here means that apart from in the middle summer direct sunlight won't be an issue.
